PDU (Power Distribution Unit), which is what we often call the power distribution socket for the cabinet. Compared with the common power supply socket, the power distribution socket (PDU) of the cabinet is mainly characterized by: the design arrangement is more reasonable. More stringent quality and standards, safe and trouble-free working hours, various types of leakage, over-current overload protection, excellent insertion and removal actions are not easy to damage, heat heating is small, installation is more flexible and convenient, suitable for industries with strict requirements on electricity consumption Customer use. It also fundamentally eliminates the potential safety hazards caused by frequent power failures, burnouts, fires, etc. caused by poor contact and small load. At present, the industrial standard PDU products we have produced have been used in power systems for many years, but not many of them are used in telecom equipment projects. There are special requirements for PDU products in telecom equipment rooms.
1. Telecommunications room equipment PDU overall requirements
The cabinet shall be equipped with a complete set of detachable and replaceable fixed power distribution units (PDUs) for the introduction, distribution, protection, splitting, and plugging (sockets or terminals) of the power supply of the cabinet equipment. In the same cabinet, AC power distribution and DC power distribution should not be mixed (except for cabinet cooling fan power distribution).
2. Structure and installation requirements
The power distribution unit should adopt a vertical strip-shaped integrated structure to integrate the power distribution, protection, and plug-in, and the front side can be disassembled, which is convenient for installation and replacement of the plug-in module and the plug-in (wiring); The separate structure of the introduction, distribution, protection part and the connection part, wherein the introduction, distribution and protection part of the power supply are placed on the power distribution unit at the top or the bottom of the device, and the connection part still functions as a vertical strip-shaped unit structure. The installation position of the vertical strip-shaped integrated power distribution unit or the split structure of the split unit is generally the rear side of the cabinet (the power cord cable or the outside of the cable trough). In special cases, one power distribution unit can be set on the left and right sides (not recommended).
3. AC power distribution unit
3.1 The power distribution unit shall be able to simultaneously introduce A and B dual power supplies, which are completely independent of each other (including the grounding wire) and are separately distributed. For a cabinet without dual power supply requirements, only one power supply can be introduced.
3.2 The input power of the power distribution unit is generally a single-phase three-wire power supply (220V). In special cases, a three-phase four-wire power supply (380V) can be used. It can also be based on the special requirements of power supply safety, using four-way power supply.
——Power frequency: 50Hz
- Maximum allowable input current: 16A, or 32A (according to user requirements).
- Output shunt current allowable maximum: Recommended 10A, or 16A (according to user requirements).
3.3 The power input terminal should be equipped with a terminal block, which can be connected to cables of 16mm2 or less, and can be installed with current metering devices according to requirements; each output shunt should be provided with a terminal block group or socket to provide power supply conditions for the equipment.
3.4 The cabinet power input should be provided with independent overcurrent and short circuit protection devices. Independent output overcurrent and short circuit protection devices should be set for each output branch.
3.5 Protection device can be equipped with AC air switch (recommended) or fuse type isolating switch, installed on the total input or output shunt phase line, easy to operate and replace, and meet its heat dissipation requirements, the rating of the protection device should be the total The input or output shunt ratings match.
The socket should preferably use a two-pole grounded single-phase socket in accordance with GB 1002, or a C9/C10 two-pole grounded single-phase socket (IEC 60320 C13/C14) that meets the requirements of GB17465.1; "universal socket" should not be used. Relevant requirements include: the socket reed should have good electrical conductivity and mechanical elasticity, and has good fatigue resistance, wear resistance and corrosion resistance (recommended tin phosphor bronze material); the minimum pulling force required for a single plug to be pulled out from the socket should be ≥ 30N to prevent the plug from falling off automatically during normal use

——The rated current of the socket is 10A. In special cases, 16A can be selected; the order of the jacks is upper ground (PE), left zero (N) and right phase (L).
